The Costumes

Had to take a little time off from drawing and painting and journaling. Mama had to make Halloween costumes. Video game theme this year. I enjoyed the sewing, especially making Ethan's Sonic costume. My favorite was his hair. I love having to figure out how to make these funky little costumes. I'm hoping to get back to my other artsy stuff soon. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with things to do. I will be taking my 2nd Pranic Healing class this weekend. Its been a looong time coming, and I'm so excited and nervous about it. I haven't really had much time to practice or meditate etc. I just hope my lack of preparedness wont show too much.
Then there is Christmas, and the year is almost over and I have to get this house ready for the move. Exciting, scary, exhausting, and I can't wait.

Just a little drawing I had started a while ago. I glued it onto a piece of cardboard, and painted a frame on it. I really like the stripy borders, I think its a nice contrast. Gave it to my mom. I could draw these all day if I had the time.

Made this for a pretty little girl's birthday. I was told she really liked it.
It always feels a little strange giving things I make as gifts. I should be used to it by now. But its kind of giving a part of myself, and feeling nervous about how it will be accepted. Make sense?

My new beach dress

Made it out of a "vintage" sheet. That just sounds silly. It's an old sheet with a cool pattern. Just winged it, no pattern. I didn't even use scissors, I just ripped the fabric to make the square. I like it, now to make a headband out of this sheet. No I wont wear it all together, that would just be weird.

Vegan Days

It's been pretty easy, and I have been eating better. I do think I need to get more greens in there. That's my goal for the rest of the week, lots of greens. I'm liking the sweet potato though.

Garbanzo bean pancake with Chayote from the garden - Baby potatoes, and sweet potato with collards - Kale and Sweet potato soup - GF Strawberry Cobbler - There is a missing picture of an apple crisp. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it before most of it was gone.

I'm hoping to take some pictures of my drawings and crafty things. That was the reason for starting this blog. It looks more like a food blog at the moment, but my creativity has been needed in this department. For all of us in this little family.

My first Day

My Green shake turned out purple. I think I put too many strawberries in it.

I also had some strawberries in the evening.

I was really sleepy yesterday, since I didn't have coffee but I feel better today. I had some black tea this morning. I'm not going caffeine free cold turkey, because I just don't need to deal with a headache.

I've been making these in an effort to make the "school" area look a little better. Its not really working, (its really hard to keep that area organized) but the cozies make me happy.
